Αυτό το LED Ring είναι μια μικρή πλακέτα με δυνατότητα chainable με οκτώ 5050 WS2812 RGB LED. Τα WS2812 είναι καθένα με δυνατότητα διευθυνσιοδότησης καθώς το τσιπ του προγράμματος οδήγησης βρίσκεται μέσα στο LED. Κάθε δακτύλιος LED διαθέτει μονάδα σταθερού ρεύματος ~18 mA, επομένως το χρώμα θα είναι πολύ σταθερό ακόμα κι αν η τάση ποικίλλει και απαιτεί 5V.

Κάθε stick είναι εξοπλισμένο με μια ενιαία γραμμή δεδομένων με πρωτόκολλο πολύ συγκεκριμένου χρονισμού που απαιτεί έναν μικροελεγκτή σε πραγματικό χρόνο με επεξεργαστή 8 MHz ή ταχύτερο, όπως AVR, Arduino, PIC, mbed κ.λπ. Υπάρχουν solder pads στο πίσω μέρος για σύνδεση καλωδίων ή breadboard pins και δύο οπές στερέωσης για τη στερέωση αυτής της σανίδας σε πολλές διαφορετικές επιφάνειες.
