The Gravity Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) & ALS Meter is a high-performance light sensing device, specifically designed to meet the needs of professional videographers and photographers. With precise calibration, it provides accurate measurements of correlated color temperature and illuminance intensity. It features an illuminance measurement range of 10-10000 Lux with an error margin of ±5 Lux + ±10% Lux and a correlated color temperature measurement range of 2700-6500K with an error margin of ±10% K, ensuring perfect lighting for any shoot. The sensor can be controlled using an Arduino UNO development board, and by following the wiring diagram and sample code provided in the wiki web page, the final correlated color temperature, illuminance, and X, Y color coordinates data can be obtained.
Photographers can use the sensor on-site to measure environmental correlated color temperature and illuminance. It ensures that the lighting matches desired color temperature and brightness, resulting in accurate and professional photos and videos. During post-production, photographers rely on the sensor's precise data to adjust image color temperature and brightness, maintaining consistent visual style and optimizing image quality.
Indoor Lighting Systems: Optimize and control indoor lighting for better ambiance and energy efficiency.
Exhibition Hall Lighting Systems: Ensure exhibits are well-lit with accurate color temperature and illuminance levels.
Light Quality Detection Equipment: Monitor and maintain the quality of light in various environments.
Supermarket Lighting Systems: Enhance product displays with precise lighting conditions.
Screen Display Adjustment: Adjust screen displays to match ambient lighting for better viewing comfort.
Correlated color temperature (CCT) is a critical aspect of lighting, measured in Kelvin (K). It describes the color characteristics of a light source based on blackbody radiation theory. This sensor converts environmental light into standard physical quantities, accurately representing the light temperature of different times of the day and weather conditions. Whether capturing the warm hues of a sunset (2000K-3000K) or the cool tones of a cloudy day (5000K and above), this sensor ensures precise calibration of lighting.
Illuminance intensity measures the brightness of a light source in lux (Lux), reflecting the light flux on a unit area. This is crucial for achieving the desired brightness level in photography and videography. The sensor provides precise illuminance readings, allowing for the creation of perfect lighting setups, whether working in a brightly lit outdoor environment or a dimly lit indoor studio.
