The DFRobot heart rate and oximeter sensor integrates the Maxim MAX30102 chip, which uses PPG (PhotoPlethysmography) to measure data. It also features a built-in microprocessor with integrated heart rate and oximetry algorithms, capable of directly outputting relevant data via I2C or UART protocols. This makes the sensor easy to use and significantly reduces the resource load on the main controller.
